Apollo's Trail and Scholar's Road
   Apollo's Trail meets with Scholar's Road here, which runs south of
here past the city library, a few residential dwellings, and a few
decorative crystal spires. The Appollyon Fortress is quite close and
the massive gates are clearly visible if one gazes directly east. The
mountain peaks rise up all around the busy roads, forming a strange
symbiotic relationship between the harsh natural enviroment and the
advanced civilization here.

here, with Saturn's Way continuing its north to south route while
Apollo's Trail leads off towards the Fortress in the east. Like every-
where else around Ultarium, the roads are flanked by towering mountain
peaks and awe-inspiring towers.

Starwatcher Plaza
  This is one of the most popular plaza's in the city, situated directly
north of the Lunar Gates. A huge display of the planets and stars has been
set up here, a miracle of modern workmanship, it even moves in a scaled-
down but accurate formation.  There are a few benches and planted flower
beds to keep the plaza beautiful. Scholar's Tower lies just to the west,
while Saturn's Way leads north, and Scholar's Road east.

Scholar's Road
   Scholar's Road was named after the sheer ammount of students and
scholars that visit the city of Ultarium. Every year an exodus of every
possible race come to live and study in the city, knowing the spired,
cloud city to be one of the very few locations on the planet that offers
indepth knowledge of the cosmic arts. Like most of the city roads, small
dwellings are can be seen built into the mountainside, and the Appollyon
Fortress is clearly seen to the east. The prominent Scholar's Tower and
city gates lie to the west of the well-used moonstone street tiles.

An Alley Between the Towers
   This is just a short alley, seperating two of the most well-used
streets in the city, Scholar's Road to the north and Comet's Course up
a series of moonstone steps that are as broad as the alley itself. On
either side and all around, towers, windmills, and spires rise up from
the mountain avenues.

but to those unaware it appears simple as a circular, tile pathway that
winds itself around a frosty mountain peak. To several sects of cosmocy

planet's ability to reach the heavens naturally.  The pathway itself is
heavily decorated and the mountainside has many carving and runes etched
into it. At any givin time here, one can easily spot half a dozen monks
or students slowing wandering around.

From along this road, the city itself has an amazing view to the north

stretch upwards to rival the highest peaks in the world. Very little
lies to the south of Comet's Course, a few dwellings, the odd windmill,
and an extremely long drop.

   The trail here breaks off from the busy road of Comet's Course and
leads to a worn mountain passage.  Though not one of the main sectors of
the city itself, the trail looks to be used frequently, and steps have
been carved into the mountain rock itself, leading upwards to a plateau.

   The mountain levels off here for quite a distance, allowing the
construction of a fortified guardhouse whose gate is directly to the
east of here and the local griffon avairy stretching out on the flat
mountain land. The imposing Appollyon Fortress can be seen to the north
admist the drifting clouds.

   Within clear view of the mountain peaks, the city just off to the
north, and the entire surrounding area, sits this guardhouse. The guards
here keep a viligant lookout for anything that approaches from the skies
as well as protecting one of the most valuable resources known around
these parts, the griffons, and the griffon aviary, that lies just outside
the guardhouse to the east. A ladder built into the wall leads up to the
second floor.

The Guardhouse Parapet
   The top floor of this guardhouse is open to the frosty mountain
winds, allowing the sentries stationed here to scan the area from an
elevated hieght. Its foundation is sturdy moonstone, and is broad enough
to support a fair-sized catapult if the need was to arise, however, at
this point just watching over and protecting the avairy is the priority
of the guards here.
