flare up in unison along the entire length of the corridor.  Almost as if the
palace were alive and breating, each brazier pulsates in turn before returning
to a more subdued light.  High above upon the ceiling, spiralling shafts of
rock spin towards the ground, growing ever thinner and sharper as they come
within half the distance from roof to floor.  The tips of the spikes glow
a deep red in color, perhaps indicating that there is more to them than
is currently visible.  The entryway to the Charcoal Palace lies to the east,
while the main corridor continues westwards.

A Grand Foyer within the Palace
   The Grand Foyer is the initial welcoming room for all of Kossuth's
honored guests.  The area has been decorated with the finest in magically
created Efreet silks, lavish stonework murals and opalescent furniture that
reflects the fiery light that pours into the room.  Much of the room is
seemingly bathed in a hue of gentle red, which shifts in color ever so gently
with the passing of time.  Servants of Kossuth and other minions can be
seen attending to various duties within the foyer.  A grand onyx dais sits
several feet off the floor, holding the otherworldly throne of the
Lord of Flame.  It is presently unoccupied, however.

rock spin towards the ground, growing ever thinner and sharper as they come
within half the distance from roof to floor.  The tips of the spikes glow
a deep red in color, perhaps indicating that there is more to them than
is currently visible.  The passage continues to the east and bends northwards
to the west.
