The sounds of horses neighing can be heard coming from the
stables. There is also an awful stench that one quickly notices
here.  Many ranger elves seem to be heading to the south of
here towards a large type building.  The trail continues in
two directions from this advantage point.

An Elven House
   This mighty oak tree, one of the largest seen in the
area, appears to be the home of a rather well-to-do elven
family.  The home is lavishly decorated with many features
not seen in other elven homes.  There is a window in the
south wall.  Along the south wall, there is a small
painting of what appears to be the elven family. There is
only one exit out of this house.

   This shop, composed of carved out rock, contains several
ante-chambers that are behind the counter.  A huge rack of
weapons are on display here, and the smell of worked metal
is heavy in the air.  On the counter, there is a small sign
where there is a welcome message of sorts.  The floor of
this building is covered in a red rug.  There is only one
exit out of this building.

It is in this shop, that one can find various odd and ends needed

   The surrounding roads intersect in this large city center.
The city center serves as a general meeting place where many
elves and visiting centaurs can always be seen congregating. In
the center of this area,  a large fountain has been erected in
the shape of a beautiful mermaid blowing water from her mouth.
The general surrounding areas are kept clean by the many
street workers who pick up debris.  There are exits in all
directions leading deeper into the city.

some sort.  Laughter flows delightfully from it, and the sounds

by wooden shelves.  This is where all the spell books are kept
within the tower.  The accumulated mystic knowledge of all the
elven mages is contained within the books of this library. Many
elven mages can be found consulting texts with these walls from
time to time.  A great magical ball of light floats in the
center of the room providing light for all.  There are two exits
leading deeper into the guild.

   The surrounding roads intersect in this large city center.
The city center serves as a general meeting place where many
elves and visiting centaurs can always be seen congregating. In
the center of this area,  a large fountain has been erected in
the shape of a beautiful mermaid blowing water from her mouth.
The general surrounding areas are kept clean by the many
street workers who pick up debris.  There are exits in all
directions leading deeper into the city.

Charing.  It runs in a north-south direction in the center of
the city.  This central pathway of the City of Charing is well

provides access to the large palace which lies further to the
north.  There are exits all around leading deeper into the
city.

along the western part of the road reads "Welcome to Alkatia's
Fletcher Shop."  The road provides access to the large palace

A Small Park
   This small park is surrounded by a large white gate.  This
semi-secluded area seems to be more well tended than the rest
of the city.  The grounds of the park are well kept.  Every
blade of grass lies in its proper place and every flower
appears to be in full bloom.  Small stone benches are set up
here and there at various points of interesting in the park.
A feeling of peace comes over those who sit or walk within.

A Large Pond
   A large pond lies in the center of the park here.  Many
sorts of water creatures can be seen frolickling in the water.
There are several types of plant life which appear to be
growing out of the water.  The water here is clear and appears
to be very welcoming.  There are exits all around which lead
to different parts of the park.

Before the Southern Gates of Charing
   The city of Charing lies just to the north beyond the
the city gates.   These fabled gates are said to have been
forged in the pits of hell.   Containing a magical power
within their bars, only those of proper origin are allowed
to pass through these gates.  Through the gates, many elves
can be seen wandering about their city tending to daily
activities.  Rising fifty feet above the ground, a large
city wall seals off a large sacred realms of the elves.
There are two viable exits from this room.

   The trunk of the great tree Charing has been carved out
with exquiste detail here.  In the base of the trunk, there
seems to be a lot of space.   The wooden ladder, which has
been carved into the inside of the trunk, leads upward into
the trunk.  The ladder shows no signs of deterioration.  It
continues in one directions from this advantage point.

Before the Great Tree Charing
   The huge oak tree Charing rises many stories above you.
It has huge branches covered with dense foiliage.  Its
branches span by the hundreds of feet in several directions.
The branches of the great tree Charing seem to form an
interlocking network with the other trees in this forest.
Little light seems to penetrate this part of the forest.
The forest continues in all directions from this advantage
point.

provide a firm surface for travel through this part of
the forest.  There are animals of the forest frolickling
about in the near distance.  The stone pathway leads
