A Nameless Bar
   This bar has no name, being the only one in the bullywug village it likely
needs none.  Drunken halflings and humans can be seen trading angry glances
with the bullywugs that drink beside them.  The room is so crowded and smoky
that it is difficult to even notice the second room that lies further to the
north.  The halfling, human, and other visitors here have a dark nature to
them, one that fits in well with the evil tendencies of the bullywugs.
Bullywugs have no friends though, they are willing to kill for almost any
reason, and drunken bullywugs are the angriest sort.

In Front of a Nameless Bar
   A rickety fence of sharpened stakes and narrow tree trunks stands to the
east, blocking entry into some sort of deep pond.  An open doorway leads into a
nameless bar, one that clearly sees a great deal of bullywug business.  Smoke
billows out the door along with the odd croaking of a drunken bullywug.
Despite the clear hatred of intruders that all bullywugs bear, beings of all
races can be seen entering and exiting the tavern.  A muddy path extends north
and south from here.

A Wide, Muddy Path
   The path heads north and south from here.  To the north it passes beneath a
large building that must be the chief's home.  Further to the south a bar
and a small shop can be seen.  A fence made of tall tree trunks blocks passage
into a small pool that can be seen to the east.  The path is surprisingly clean
of garbage, though exactly why is hard to say.

A few drops of fresh blood are scattered around the area.

Beneath the Chieftain's Hut
   A closed trapdoor leads up into the massive hut that can only be the
chieftain's.  It is probably unwise to bother him, not even the bullywug
villagers can be seen entering very often.  A wide, muddy path leads south
through the main part of the village and a narrow trail leads westward along
the cliff.  The hut itself looks fairly sturdy, with the northern part of the
building wedged against the rocky walls of the cliff to the north and the rest
of it supported by heavy stilts and the roots of several nearby trees.

A Muddy Trail
   A thin, jelly-like slime lies across the mud here.  The reason for its
presence is a complete mystery.  It looks almost like the trail left by a snail
but it is impossible to imagine a snail large enough to leave a trail like
this.  A large hut has been built above some tall stilts to the east where a
widened pathway leads southward through the village.

   Continuing along the cliff to the north until it passes beneath a large hut
further to the west, this trail has become laden with the refuse of the entire
village.  The stench and insects are almost unbearable, yet the bullywugs pay
them no mind at all.  The trail continues to the east and west.

Beside a Cliff
   The muddy trail is forced to the east here as the cliff to the west bends
sharply east cutting off any travel north.  Though the canopy above blocks any
view, it is easy to predict that this cliff must be one of those that encloses
the Rift Valley Jungle, and likely rises up to a height of 500 feet or more.
The jagged rock would be nearly impossible to climb even if it weren't coated
with moisture deposited by the humid jungle air.

Beside a Cliff
   Muddy trails like this one snake through the village in every direction.  At
times the trails pass beneath huts or roots that reach out of the muddy ground,
but all the pathways stink of the rot and decay of the swamp combined with the
waste the bullywugs create and simply toss out of their doors.  Even the
youngest of the bullywugs that marches around the village has a certain hatred
and anger in their eyes, though it is relatively safe here, it is no surprise
that villagers attack visitors seemingly at random.

   This muddy trail now passes beneath a very sturdy hut.  Heavy beams have
been used to support the hut and keep it out of the swamp, and equally heavy
wood has been used in the construction of the floor and walls.  A powerful odor
drips downward from above, the horribly unpleasant aroma of a tanner's.  The
stench is so powerful that it even overcomes the smell of the rotting garbage
and decaying vegetation

Reiwiggy's Leather Shop
   Stinking vats filled with mysterious solutions are being used to treat a
wide variety of animal skins.  Although Reiwiggy is clearly not willing to
sell his work to any non-bullywugs it is quite possible that he might trade for
additional products.  Unfinished suits of leather armor stand on racks
throughout the hut, some of plain skins, others of tiger or alligator skin.
Reiwiggy clearly has an artistic ability and talent with leather that none of
the other bullywugs possesses.

bullywug village.  Perhaps the food vendor to the west or the bar just to the
north of here are more central to the needs of the village than one might
guess.  Oddly enough the bullywugs can move through the mud at a rapid pace
without the loud squelching that accompanies the footprints of the brave
adventurers that dare to enter their home.

within the village itself, and the fence surrounding the bullywug village is
immediately to the south.  Clouds of mosquitoes billow about, providing quick
food for the swift birds that dart back and forth eating them.  Bullywugs
travel through the mud with soundless, almost ghost-like, ease.  The trail
continues to the east and meets a path to the west.

   Mosquitoes and biting flies swarm about the area making life truely
unpleasant.  The vast quantities of water that lie about in stagnant pools
provide breeding areas for the insects as well as for some of the fish and
animals the bullywugs live on.  There is a small bullywug home to the north,
one that is far more sturdy than any others in the village.  Someone either
powerful, or simply more intelligent than their fellow villagers must live
within.

A Bullywug Hut
   This home is far more sturdy and well-decorated than perhaps even the
chief's hut.  Silver plates have been hung from the walls and several long
spears lean against the doorway.  This hut must hold the family of a great
hunter for there is a large number of sleeping pallets pushed to one side and a
number of hunting trophies have been hung from the walls.  A wooden desk, which
is clearly unused, stands in one corner as a sign of the wealth of the owner of
this home.  The door to the hut has been broken open and never fixed, it
appears the owner has no fear of thieves.

Before Some Village Gates
   This entryway has a certain forbidding quality to it, not due to its
sturdiness but rather the gloomy swamp that lies beyond.  Bullywugs have made a
village here, and despite their evil, the nearby halflings are unwilling to
risk fighting them on their own ground.  The moist swamp is their true home and
the bullywugs will do anything to defend it.  Even without the uneasy truce
with the halflings the rickety gates would likely stand as wide open as they
are now.  The gates and fence simply provide markers of what the bullywugs
consider their territory.

than in the rest of the village.  An open doorway leads into a squat hut to the
north, it appears that this area is heavily traveled, there must be someone or
something within the hut that has been deemed quite important to the villagers.

A Muddy Trail
   The squelching steps one takes seem loud in the humid confines of the swamp,
but in reality the sound can not travel far.  Thick reeds, and trees of every
variety soak up the sound, leaving an eerie silence that can be most
disconcerting at times.  Bullywugs travel to and fro, seemingly unconcerned by
intruders.  The muddy trail continues to the east and west, a fence lies to the
south and the wall of a small hut blocks the way north.

The Southwest Corner
   The fence to the south and west marks the boundary of the bullywug
territory.  Though bullywugs do often hunt in the jungle itself, the fence
marks the village that they will defend with a ferocity that has prevented all
attacks from the nearby halflings.  Muddy trails follow the fence to the west
toward the village gates and to the north along some huts to finally reach the
cliffs that enclose the Rift Vally Jungle.

A Hunter's Hut
   Fishing nets and hunting gear line the walls of this hut.  Built on low
stilts, the stilts to the south have sunk into the swamp a bit giving a
noticeable tilt to the hut, one that makes the gaps in the poorly laid wooden
floor even more obvious.  Nets drape down from hooks on the northern wall,
giving an almost humorous note to the tilt of the hut.  Few of the wooden
spears or other implements seem to be of any decent quality, but then what of
the bullywug products is?  The western doorway exits directly to one of the
many muddy trails that winds through the entire town.

   This family dwelling stinks of waste and rotting food.  Like all bullywugs,
the family living here has no sense of cleanliness or decor.  An overflowing
clay chamber pot is in the northeast corner and a series of small pallets lies
along the western wall.  There are no chairs or tables here, the bullywugs must
simply squat or sit on the wood floor, and the lack of any cooking implements
suggests they must eat their food raw.

A Muddy Trail
   One of the many muddy trails through the bullywug village, this area is
lined with rotting refuse and stinks of garbage.  The swamp and surrounding
jungle swallow almost all trash, but the smell tends to hang in the humid air
for an eternity.  Small huts have been built throughout the area, some on
stilts, some clinging to the exposed roots of the large swamp mangroves.  None
of the huts is much to look at, if the trees weren't so thick a simple gust of
wind would knock most of them into pieces.  A frail hut lies to the east and
the trail continues to the north and south.

Beside a Cliff on a Muddy Trail
   The fence to the west ends at the face of the cliff to the north, and the
trail bends along the rocky face to head eastward.  The cliff itself is jagged
and rough, rain water doesn't penetrate the canopy above with enough force to
wear it down.  This is one of the jagged cliffs that encloses the Rift Valley
Jungle.  This area is a bit lower than the rest of the jungle, and the rocky
cliffs help force the ground to retain the water that makes this region so
swampy and forbidding.

A Juncture of Muddy Paths
   Muddy trails extend to the north, east, and west.  To the west several muddy
trails pass beneath roots and small huts that have been built upon low stilts.
The dense, humid air is laden with mosquitoes and the stench of rotting
garbage.  Bullywugs travel through the paths with graceful ease, somehow
traversing the mud without making any sound.  The bullywugs themselves aren't
really much larger than halflings, but walk with a distinctive waddling gait.

Beneath a Large Hut
   The mud and water are actually fairly deep here, making it easy to see why
the hut above was built on stilts in the first place.  Garbage of all sorts
floats around in the water, adding its rotting stench to the dank air.  Insects
float about in clouds, searching for food so that they may mate and lay even
more eggs to infest this vile swamp.  An open door leads into the hut that has
been built above, the hut looks quite large, though poorly made, and could
easily hold a large number of bullywugs or other creatures.

Beneath a Sturdy Hut
   This muddy trail now passes beneath a very sturdy hut.  Heavy beams have
been used to support the hut and keep it out of the swamp, and equally heavy
wood has been used in the construction of the floor and walls.  A powerful odor
drips downward from above, the horribly unpleasant aroma of a tanner's.  The
stench is so powerful that it even overcomes the smell of the rotting garbage
and decaying vegetation

A Muddy Trail
   Continuing along the cliff to the north until it passes beneath a large hut
further to the west, this trail has become laden with the refuse of the entire
village.  The stench and insects are almost unbearable, yet the bullywugs pay
them no mind at all.  The trail continues to the east and west.

A Muddy Trail
   A thin, jelly-like slime lies across the mud here.  The reason for its
presence is a complete mystery.  It looks almost like the trail left by a snail
but it is impossible to imagine a snail large enough to leave a trail like
this.  A large hut has been built above some tall stilts to the east where a
widened pathway leads southward through the village.

Beneath the Chieftain's Hut
   A closed trapdoor leads up into the massive hut that can only be the
chieftain's.  It is probably unwise to bother him, not even the bullywug
villagers can be seen entering very often.  A wide, muddy path leads south
through the main part of the village and a narrow trail leads westward along
the cliff.  The hut itself looks fairly sturdy, with the northern part of the
building wedged against the rocky walls of the cliff to the north and the rest
of it supported by heavy stilts and the roots of several nearby trees.

A Wide, Muddy Path
   The path heads north and south from here.  To the north it passes beneath a
large building that must be the chief's home.  Further to the south a bar
and a small shop can be seen.  A fence made of tall tree trunks blocks passage
into a small pool that can be seen to the east.  The path is surprisingly clean
of garbage, though exactly why is hard to say.

In Front of a Nameless Bar
   A rickety fence of sharpened stakes and narrow tree trunks stands to the
east, blocking entry into some sort of deep pond.  An open doorway leads into a
nameless bar, one that clearly sees a great deal of bullywug business.  Smoke
billows out the door along with the odd croaking of a drunken bullywug.
Despite the clear hatred of intruders that all bullywugs bear, beings of all
races can be seen entering and exiting the tavern.  A muddy path extends north
and south from here.

adventurers that dare to enter their home.

A Bullywug Hut
   This home is far more sturdy and well-decorated than perhaps even the
chief's hut.  Silver plates have been hung from the walls and several long
spears lean against the doorway.  This hut must hold the family of a great
hunter for there is a large number of sleeping pallets pushed to one side and a
number of hunting trophies have been hung from the walls.  A wooden desk, which
is clearly unused, stands in one corner as a sign of the wealth of the owner of
this home.  The door to the hut has been broken open and never fixed, it
appears the owner has no fear of thieves.

An Intersection of Muddy Path
   Gates to this this swampy village can be seen to the south, the only opening
in a lengthy, but rickety fence that surrounds the village.  Mud and sticky
moss cling to boots with every step that is taken.  Each footfall squelches,
and the gooey sound streaks through the humid air, only to run up against one
of the nearby trees and die.  The bullywugs appear to be able to move through
the thick mud with soundless ease, showing that this really is their true
domain.  Muddy trails extend to the north and west and the village gates are to
the south.

Before Some Village Gates
   This entryway has a certain forbidding quality to it, not due to its
sturdiness but rather the gloomy swamp that lies beyond.  Bullywugs have made a
village here, and despite their evil, the nearby halflings are unwilling to
risk fighting them on their own ground.  The moist swamp is their true home and
the bullywugs will do anything to defend it.  Even without the uneasy truce
with the halflings the rickety gates would likely stand as wide open as they
are now.  The gates and fence simply provide markers of what the bullywugs
consider their territory.

Before the Gates to a Bullywug Village
   Standing wide open, the gates to the north reveal a clear view of the low,
swampy portion of the jungle that the bullywugs have claimed as their own.
Nobody has tried to contradict their claim, but then, few would want such land
in the first place.  With their moist skins, and bulbous eyes, they are suited
for the jungle swamps, adapted to the moisture and the darkness.  The fence
enclosing the village is made up only of thin stakes planted deep into the
moist ground and would be easy enough to knock down.  Rather than real
protection, the fence and gates appear to be more of a territorial border, a
claim to what they believe is theirs.  The jungle continues to the south,
east, and west, and the gates into the bullywug swamp lie to the north.
