At an Enormous Anthill
   An enormous anthill is the center of attention in this part of the
Savannah. It rises up out of the ground nearly eight feet and it
home to millions of ants.  The ants are contantly scurring in and
out of the anthill, making it look alive with movement.  The
Savannah continues to the south and west, the other directions
blocked by unpassable rocky outcroppings.

has formed that encircles the central mountain.  Travellers have
longed hoped for a easier route up the mountain, or perhaps to
find new tunnels leading into the treasure rooms of the Pits of
Cerberus with no luck and the route up the mountain remains to be
full of dangers for the unskilled.  North of here the sounds of
campers can be heard and south the Savannah continues.

Within the Savannah of Sorrow
   The Savannah is host to numerous spieces of wildlife, all who wander
about in a constant search for food. Sparse palm trees, can be seen.
Dogs, who have lived all their life here, out in the desert plains,
run about, barking at the birds.  The air is hot and dry, though
quite comfortable, and all the animals have learned to adapt quite well
to the climate.  Just to the west an opening to one of the Pits of
Cerberus can been seen, just barely visible against the rising rock
wall of the central mountain.  The path around the mountain is north.

At a Gaia Tree
   Here, a huge tree, most positively the largest within the Savannah
spreads its branches upwards, higher than even the tallest giraffe.
The tree's roots spread out all over the Savannah, just below the
surface, most likely even weaving throughout the Pits below. It offers
the wildlife an excellent source of shade, and usually several rarer
animals spend their days lounging beneath it.

Within the Savannah of Sorrow
   The Savannah stretches out in all directions here, the soil beneath
the feet hard as stone from years of being baked by the sun.  Zebras,
camels, and wild dogs run through the plains, chasing after the hundreds
of birds that flock to the oasis on the western side of the mountain
for drinking water.  The vegetation here is sparse, like most of the
Savannah, and never becomes a vibrant, healthy green, though just to
the north here a huge tree can be seen rising up from the soil, acting
as a noticeable landmark in the arid terrain.

the east of here, where several mercenaries have made preparations
for the evening.
