On the Wide Underground River
   The river flows slowly down this immense cavern from north to south,
with a village of some kind off the east.  There is a small stone hut on
the eastern bank of the river.  To the west there is a large green
pool just off the river's bank.  The entire cavern is illuminated by
glowing purple fungus from high above.  To the south the river flows
through a tunnel at the caverns end.

On the Wide underground River
   The great river slowly flows from north to south, down the middle of
this two thousand foot long cavern.  A very large, flat rock protrudes
ten feet out into the river here from the eastern shore, looking something
like a crude dock.  There is a sizable village of stone huts on the
eastern side of the river, numbering eight or so.  On the western bank,
several small pools have been dug into the shoreline.

On the Wide Underground River
   This eighty foot wide river flows in a north to south direction,
cutting a great path down the middle of this huge cavern that must be
as least five hundred feet tall.  The waters are less turbulent in this
wider section of the river than they are to the north.  A purple glowing
fungus illuminates the entire cavern, covering every wall and the whole
ceiling.  Several stone huts or dwellings to the south indicate that this
cavern must house a settlement of some kind.

The Wide Underground River
   The river widens here noticeably, expanding its breadth to nearly
eighty feet.  The larger cavern rises about a hundred feet higher than
the water line, and is completely covered with the same glowing purple
fungus.  The water's color has darkened some, indicating that it has
also become much deeper.  The river continues on its north-south
course, with a small branch leading into a side cavern west of here.

Side Cavern on an Underground River
   This small cavern is perhaps thirty feet high and fifty feet long.
The river ends upon a small rocky shore on its western end, which opens
into a cave beyond.  The purplish fungus seems less abundant here.  The
great underground river runs back to the east.

   This rather cramped cave is covered from floor to ceiling with a
thick, green moss that has overgrown the glowing fungus making the
area dark.  The sounds of running water can be heard to the east, and

heavily on the air.

   This vertical tunnel is a shaft that leads from the
surface to a small underground lair in the mountain.  Both
above and below trapdoors can be seen.  Below is a trapdoor
that leads to a guard post, rumored to be manned by a drow.
In fact, small drowish markings can be seen etched on to the
dolomite trapdoor.  Above is a trapdoor that leads to the
great BloodFields.

   This appears to be the start of a vertical tunnel at
a trapdoor to the surface.  This trapdoor is made out of
some weird earthen material, perhaps magical in nature.
The walls of the tunnel are rigid, the work of duergars
that were in a hurry.  Some of the more jagged areas of
the tunnel are bloodstained, as if injured people slid
down this tunnel, fleeing from a horrible battle.

Before a Statue of Kvark
    This statue has been carved into the mountain side
quite some time ago.  Originally a dark marble, it is now
caked in blood from the battles that occur in this area.
Piles of bones are scattered about the area, probably the
remains of skeletons that have been slain.  The statue of
Kvark is magnificent and visible to anyone on the battle
field.  At the best of the statue is a plaque that reads
"King of MetaGrunka."  A small handle can be seen near the
statue's base.

A Halt in the River
    This underground river cuts through the mountain, weaving
its way around stalagtites and stalagmites.  Some flourescent moss
gives a faint glow to the room, providing limited visibility. As
the river continues northward, the water begins to pick up pace.
This area seems well traveled, with many little alcoves off the
bank of the river.

A Slim Cavern
This cavern is large, about seventy feet tall and fifty feet across.
Many large stalactites and stalagmites hang from the floors and ceiling.
A thick green slime covers most of the cavern, producing a horrible smell
that resembles rotting plants.  The cavern continues back to the south.

Mossy Cave
   This rather cramped cave is covered from floor to ceiling with a
thick, green moss that has overgrown the glowing fungus making the
area dark.  The sounds of running water can be heard to the east, and
the cave continues to the west.  The smell of rotting plants sits
heavily on the air.

Side Cavern on an Underground River
   This small cavern is perhaps thirty feet high and fifty feet long.
The river ends upon a small rocky shore on its western end, which opens
into a cave beyond.  The purplish fungus seems less abundant here.  The
great underground river runs back to the east.

The Wide Underground River
   The river widens here noticeably, expanding its breadth to nearly
eighty feet.  The larger cavern rises about a hundred feet higher than
the water line, and is completely covered with the same glowing purple
fungus.  The water's color has darkened some, indicating that it has
also become much deeper.  The river continues on its north-south
course, with a small branch leading into a side cavern west of here.

On the Wide Underground River
   This eighty foot wide river flows in a north to south direction,
cutting a great path down the middle of this huge cavern that must be
as least five hundred feet tall.  The waters are less turbulent in this
wider section of the river than they are to the north.  A purple glowing
fungus illuminates the entire cavern, covering every wall and the whole
ceiling.  Several stone huts or dwellings to the south indicate that this
cavern must house a settlement of some kind.

Kenon trots south.
On the Wide underground River
   The great river slowly flows from north to south, down the middle of
this two thousand foot long cavern.  A very large, flat rock protrudes
ten feet out into the river here from the eastern shore, looking something
like a crude dock.  There is a sizable village of stone huts on the
eastern side of the river, numbering eight or so.  On the western bank,
several small pools have been dug into the shoreline.

On the Wide Underground River
   The river flows slowly down this immense cavern from north to south,
with a village of some kind off the east.  There is a small stone hut on
the eastern bank of the river.  To the west there is a large green
pool just off the river's bank.  The entire cavern is illuminated by
glowing purple fungus from high above.  To the south the river flows
through a tunnel at the caverns end.

Tunnel on the Wide Underground River
   The great river flows into a large tunnel here at the caverns
southern end.  The water line is very high here, leaving only three or four
feet of head clearance from the ceiling.  There isn't much of the glowing
fungus in this tunnel, but enough to provide a very dim illumination.
The river continues its slow north to south course.

   The river narrows a bit here, picking up its pace enough to make
northerly travel difficult but not impossible.  The river occupies all
but three or four feet of the cavern, not leaving travelers allot of head
room.  There is almost none of the glowing purple fungus on the ceiling
here, which is very wet from the river, just a few feet below.  The river
continues its north to south course.
