A small snow-covered plain occupies the southern bank of the
Torvald river, which lies in frozen silence to the north. A few
withered trees and scrub brush manage to grow on the snowy plain.
The southwest corner of the plain is dominated by a large granite
building built against the base of a large hill. A seemingly
endless amount of rolling hills extend southward away from the
plain.

Rolling Hills
Huge hills cover the landscape. In some forgotten age they
may have been a great mountain range, but time and weather has
worn them down to gently rolling hills. A few trees manage to
grow in the icy ground, surely a hardy species of timber. What
look like shaggy deer brave the cold to graze on the few bushes
that manage to grow. A large granite building nestles against
the side of the hills west of here. A snowy plain breaks the
monotony to the north. East and south spread hills as far as the
eye can see.

worn them down to gently rolling hills. A few trees manage to
grow in the icy ground, surely a hardy species of timber. What
look like shaggy deer brave the cold to graze on the few bushes
that manage to grow. A large granite building nestles against
the side of the hills west of here. All other directions lead
toward more rolling hills.

The building is nearly forty feet tall, formed of many close-
fitting large granite blocks. A massive oaken door, nearly
twentry feet tall, rests on heavy iron hinges here. Raucous
laughter emits from behind the door; The smell of roasting meat
wafts in from under the doorway. It appears to be some sort of
festhall. To the east lies a broad expanse of rolling hills
covered in ice and snow.
