Inside a Partially Collapsed Mine
The tunnels of this mine are quite large but very dark. There are touches
attached to the walls every ten feet or so but they have long since burned
out. The floor is littered with rubble that has fallen from the walls and
ceiling. Large cracks in the rock around you makes it look like more could
be added at any minute. There is the odd glint of minerals coming from the
rocks around. Perhaps this mine could still be functioning if it were more
stable. The dust on the floor is fairly thick, but there does seem to be
tracks of a very recent visitor.

A Trail Through the Halfcut Hills
North of you a small rise in the trail leads up to a small bluff.
The sound of water running can just barely be heard to the north,
perhaps a stream or river of some kind lies there. The trail winds its
way north onto the bluff, and west around the side of it from here.

A Split in the Trail
A break in the hills and underbrush reveals the sandy shores of a
large stream to the north from here. Southeast of you lies the heart
of the Halfcut Hills, mostly obscured by a large, oddly smooth
hill. The trail continues from here around the north edge of the hills
to the east, and also southerly deeper into the hills.
