Brittle slabs of half-molten rock surf casually along the surface of this
of the molten lake of fire here. In some places, the magma which makes up the
majority of the lake, bubbles and churns in sweltering whirlpools of fire and
flame. Waves of heat swirl into the air over the lake, distorting vision and
adding to the already disorienting feeling of the place. The sounds of great
explosions can be heard far in the distance. Wisps and sparks of flame drift
upon the currents of heat and twinkle as they slowly die out.
