scattered into a pile on one side of the room to provide bedding.  A hole an
arms width in diamater has been cut into the floor, through which the occupant
is able to relieve themself.  Two thick iron rungs are embedded into the far
wall to accomodate discipline problems.  A wooden sword and shield are also
attached to the far wall via cables, in order to allow the occupant practice
time without endagering the lives of the trainers and cellkeepers.

Arena Floor Entrance
   This side passage is the entrance to the Arena floor.  To the east,
the sounds of steel crashing into steel can be heard, as well as a brief yell
of pain periodically.  The ground here is scattered by tiny chunks of bark,
dragged in from where it completely covers the arena floor.  Iron rungs are
embedded on both sides of the wall, providing a means of keeping beasts and
gladiators from prematurely beginning their killing spree.

The Arena Floor
   Here is where all of the actual fighting takes place.  The ground is made
up of a two inch thick layer of tiny bark chunks, which soak up blood nicely.
A fifteen foot high wall encircles the entire arena floor, above which lie
stands filled with bloodthirsty spectators.  Two champion gladiators circle
each other here, providing the crowd with its main event.  To the west, a
metal grate provides access back toward the holding cells, where other
gladiators wait for their turn to live or die.
This area seems to be devoid of magic!
