Mining is a skill used to remove metal ores or valuable gem stones from the soil. Mines are spread all over the realms and cannot be harvested without first learning the mining skill and purchasing a mining pick.
Mines eventually run out but your skill and a touch of luck determine how successful you will be with each individual deposit. Once you've reached a certain level of skill you will gain minesight, which allows you to see mines before landing on them, as indicated by an m symbol
After you have obtained your ores and gems, they can be sold to various shopkeepers throughout the realms or used in crafting and quests. Return one of each large metal ore to Harmon in the City of Alatorin to receive a special reward!
Warning: Mining causes noise to echo throughout
the area, alerting others close to you on the map to your
general location.
