The North Bridge
   The north and south bridges are identical in construction and quite a
simple design. A simple wooden arch serves as a walkway across the Jade
river, elevated just enough to allow some of the smaller passenger rafts
to pass underneath.  Cherry trees in large earthenware pots are placed as
decoration along the length of the bridge. The north bridge here connects
the northern beach area to the harbour.

The Corniche
   The Corniche is one of the most amazing locations within the Jade
Empire. The street is tended meticulously, with the tiled walkway cleaned
so thoroughly that one can almost see a reflection. Flower beds and cherry
trees that seem to blossom all year round line the street. The river flows
softly as soothing music to the east and all around one is filled with the
feelings of serenity. Along the west side here the palace rises up the full
five stories, and flower petals float down from the upper balconies like a
heavenly snowfall. The north bridge across the Jade river is east.

   This is the northeastern edge of central Jade city. To the east the river
flows lazily into the ocean, with the coastal beach lying just north. Just
across the river one can see the long dock of the Jade harbour stretching

west, while the Corniche connects in the south. The bustling streets, fresh
ocean air, and elegant designs of the streets all remains statements to
the overall glory and splendor of Jade.

   A small market has been set up here, along the northern palisades,
close enough to the breakwater to feel the mist on the skin and smell

The Rice Fields
   The rice fields separate the main city of Jade with the wilds off to
the west and act almost as a barrier.  To the western edge of the fields
a three foot high iron fence has been built to keep out any of the many
unwanted creatures that make the swamps their homes. The fields themselves
are borderline marshes, but they are kept clean and free of the many
forms of nasty vegetation that can contaminate the rice.  The farmers
can be seen wandering about, always checking on the growth of their crops.
The gate leading back to the city proper is just to the east here.
