Tunnel on A Wide Underground River
The river narrows a bit here, picking up its pace enough to make
northerly travel difficult but not impossible. The river occupies all
but three or four feet of the cavern, not leaving travelers allot of head
room. There is almost none of the glowing purple fungus on the ceiling
here, which is very wet from the river, just a few feet below. The river
continues its north to south course.

You can see a rocky path way leading away from the shoreline.
You extend your sights eastward.
Pathway to the Village
The rocky ground here has been cut more smoothly than the surrounding
natural curves and slopes of the cavern, creating a crude pathway. The
path leads from the river's edge eastward, into a small village of stone
huts. There are also stone huts directly to the north and south of here,
each standing fifteen about ten feet tall. No entrances can be seen on
this side of them to go in through.

Pathway in a Kuo-Toan Village
The pathway is cut smooth out of the natural curving ground of the
cavern, running to the north, west, and south. Stone huts of many
different sizes comprise this crude village, most of them with only
one entryway. It looks as if the kuo-toans have lived here for a long
time, having carved several large grotesque images of unknown monsters
in the cavern's floor along the pathway here. An eighty foot tall
stalagmite climbs into the air at the path's end, also covered with
small carvings.
