The Shaiennar Pier
   The pier is cluttered with various people here, from fisherman,
families, tourists, adventurers, and merchants, coming here to see
the view of the ocean.  The pier itself is cluttered here and there
with the various equipment used by the fisherman - pails and fishing
poles and scattered fish.  The traffic on the pier is much more dense
to the east, but it begins to filter out towards the west where the
pier ends.

The Shaiennar Pier
   Families, couples, merchants, and sailors enjoying their trip back
to land can often be found here, peering over the rails of the pier out
into the vast waters.  The wind is strong, causing the platform to
shudder and shake when the tide is high.  The pier itself has held up
for several years, some of the wood has begun to look weathered and
beaten.  The pier extends out over the ocean to the west, where you can
see the end sway in the wind slightly, while it heads back east.

The Shaiennar Pier
   The pier is alive with energy at all times of day, even in the late
hours of the night.  Fisherman and sailors make their way down the
stretch, fishing off the pier or simply enjoying the view.  Merchants
and travellers often stop here for a view, the strong winds causing
those unfamiliar with the waters to put effort into keeping their
balance as the pier itself sways now and again.  The pier continues
to the west, stretching over the waters, while a path leads back south
onto the beach itself.

A Rocky Path Towards the Pier
   The beach comes to an end here, ending on a wooden platform that
marks the beginning of the pier.  This area is crowded at all times
of the day, but even more so in the middle of the afternoons and the
sun is high in the sky.  The smell of freshly caught fish drying on
the pier becomes very strong here, mingled in with the salty scent of
the sea that drifts by with the breeze.  The pier itself extends out
to the west, while the beach continues on southward.

A Rocky Beach
   The sand is hot against bare feet when the sun is high in the sky,
comforted only by the cool breeze that drifts by here.  A rocky wall
begins to extend upwards on the east side of the beach, allowing for
only a few dozen feet of sand to extend from the water.  The sand isn't
quite as smooth and soft as one might expect, though, cluttered with
broken seashells and gravel washed up by the slow waves.  A long pier
reaches out over the waters to the north of here, fishermen lining it
in hopes of a good catch.  Towards the south a sloping path leads
upwards onto the street.

   The steep incline ends abruptly here, the land flattened by years
of high tides and weather.  Seashells, gravel, crabs, and other small
creatures have found their way onto the beach, causing one to watch
closely where they step.  When the sun shines high in the sky it warms
the sand, burning bare feet, while a cool breeze blows in from the sea.
The beach continues northwards towards the pier which extends out over
the water, while a sloping path leads back up to the street.

A Rocky Path
   This path is well used, marking the travel of several villagers
and travellers to and from the beach and streets.  A steep incline
leads downwards towards the beach, cluttered by loose rocks and gravel,
making the trip down slightly difficult.  From here, the ocean is
visible, stretching out westwards towards the horizon, while a long
pier reaches across the waters not too far north.  The path continues
both up and down.

   Two thick iron gates stand open before the docks, creaking when
strong winds hit the small city.  The salty scent of the air is heavy
here, seagulls swoop down hoping for a free meal.  Shaiennar Road

path leading towards the beach.

   The bustle throughout the city can be heard from all directions,
from the shops lining the street and the market further east to the
docks that lie westward.  The shouts and yells of sailors and merchants,
vendors selling their goods, and children running down the streets
assaults the ears.  A somewhat large building to the south houses a
shop that receives much activity of people moving in and out.

line this street.  The activity here is constant throughout the day
and night, and yet the whole appearance of the city gives one the
feeling it has seen better years, as many buildings have long since
been abandoned and not as many ships can be seen in the harbor.  To
the north side of the street here lies a shop that looks totally
empty, the windows closed shut with wooden boards.  The street
itself continues both east and west.
