remembered stories. Though a few of the bindings haven't fallen completely
into dust, almost every single page has, leaving bookbindings to stand alone
on small piles of dust. The library continues to the north and west.

A large book stands on a pedestal here, not even the odd pink-purple mist
that mysteriously shrouds the bookshelves come near it. The book, as well
as its stand, glows with a magical light. Though the ravages of time have
turned almost every other book here into dust, this book stands shining, as
if it is daring time, or anything else to attempt to damage it.

A Vast Library
Even the odd pink-purple mist can't cloak the fact that this library was
once a storehouse for vast amounts of knowledge. Decaying book-bindings
stand atop mounds of dust and shredded parchment, and ancient scroll casings
lie around after falling from their decaying stands. Everything here is so
old and decayed that it is unlikely anything worthwhile could have survived,
but the possibility remains that those that have been through here in the
past might have missed something. The library continues to the north and
east.

extending in almost every direction. The bookcases themselves appear to
only be filled with dust, this place is so ancient that even some of the
shelves themselves have begun to decay. The library continues to the south
and east.
