small foyer. A large wooden door banded with iron sits in the
northern wall. Hanging from the walls are paintings of the king
Utgard-Loki; all seem to celebrate his magnificence, or his

A Heavily Guarded Gatehouse
A large iron gate offers the only exit from the citadel.
Numerous frost giants all marked with the badge of Utgard-Loki
stand on either side of the gate. The guards seem extremely
disciplined for frost giants and provide an almost impregnable
defense for the citadel. The guards occasionally withdraw and
are replaced by a fresh shift of guards from a large barracks to
the south. The foyer to an office of some sort is to the north.
Through a narrow arch to the east is a waiting room.

This huge room has many large stone chairs for visitors to sit
in while they wait for an audience with Utgard-Loki. The walls
are covered with tapestries of the king. Most are extremely
gaudy and depict the king in a variety of poses. Utgard-Loki
must be an one egotistical frost giant; his citadel is plastered
with pictures of him. A narrow arch leads to a guardhouse to the
west. A bustling kitchen lies to the south. A banquet hall is
to the east. A hallway covered with cobwebs leads away from the

A Pillared Banquet Hall
Marble pillars line the sides of the room. A huge wooden
table sits in the center of the room. Golden goblets and
ornamentations sit next to sizzling platters of meat and other
delicassies. The table itself is elegantly carved. At one end
of the table sits a large frost giant wearing a gaudy looking
crown who gorges himself on the food set before him. Many slaves
tend to the whims of the frost giant who sits alone at the table.

This huge room has many large stone chairs for visitors to sit
in while they wait for an audience with Utgard-Loki. The walls
are covered with tapestries of the king. Most are extremely
gaudy and depict the king in a variety of poses. Utgard-Loki
must be an one egotistical frost giant; his citadel is plastered
with pictures of him. A narrow arch leads to a guardhouse to the
west. A bustling kitchen lies to the south. A banquet hall is
to the east. A hallway covered with cobwebs leads away from the
waiting room to the north.

This narrow hallway looks like it hasn't been used in
generations. Dust covers the ground; every footstep sends up
clouds of choking dust. The walls are covered with cobwebs and
many drape across the hallway. The hallway ends in a dead end,
the only exit is south into a large waiting room.

A Heavily Guarded Gatehouse
A large iron gate offers the only exit from the citadel.
Numerous frost giants all marked with the badge of Utgard-Loki
stand on either side of the gate. The guards seem extremely
disciplined for frost giants and provide an almost impregnable
defense for the citadel. The guards occasionally withdraw and
are replaced by a fresh shift of guards from a large barracks to
the south. The foyer to an office of some sort is to the north.
Through a narrow arch to the east is a waiting room.
Obvious exits: -North -East -South -West #

Huge stone chairs line either side of the walls here in this
small foyer. A large wooden door banded with iron sits in the
northern wall. Hanging from the walls are paintings of the king
Utgard-Loki; all seem to celebrate his magnificence, or his
prowess in battle. He surely must be a fearsome sight to behold.

A Guard Commander's Office
A large marble desk occupies the bulk of this small room. Two
huge axes sit crossed on the wall behind the desk. Stacks of
administrative paperwork lie in piles on the desk; most look like
they haven't been read in ages. A huge frost giant stands behind
the desk, his attention given to something happening outside the
small window in his office. The door leads south to a small
foyer.
