In a Large Field of Corn
   The large corn field ends here in the southwestern corner.  There is a
large dirt road clearly visible, which is often used by both farmers and the
merchants alike.  The field here grows thinner than the other areas of the
corn field because of both the fact that its located in the more open areas
and the fact that the ground is lower here.  Over half of the plants were
drown out in the germanation period.  The corn that does grow looks scrawny
and under-nourished.  One may travel north or east.

Inside the Large Corn Field in the Farming Community of Salol
   This large corn field is used to grow corn which is used in making many
other products.  The corn is used in various alcohols and is often ground into
fine flour for baking purposes.  The soil here is kept damp in order to keep
the corn well supplied with moisture.  Corn plants surround this point of the
field making it nearly impossible for the normal sized person to see the homes
or surrounding roads.  Small game trails weave in and out of the rows of corn.
One may travel east, north or south from this point in the corn field.

In the Northern End of the Corn Field
   The northern section of this corn field is one of the more fertile sections
of soil in the entire farming community of Salol.  The tall corn grows to a
height of up to ten feet tall, quickly outgrowing any weeds that may grow along
with the corn plants.  The dirt is not dry for the precipitation has kept it
full of moisture and provides a healthy growing base.  The wooden fence located
to the west is used to keep out the larger farm animals and the silly children.
One may travel west or south in the corn field.

In Front of the Fence to the Corn Field
   The road continues here in the small farming community of Salol.  There is
a large and lush looking corn field located here to the east.  Corn is one of
the more important crops grown here for it is used in so many ways.  The corn
plants grow high over the five foot fences built around the field.  Their many
ears push out from the protection of the leaves, just begging to be picked.
The road here has been recently smoothed and packed down by the villagers in
an attempt to keep it in top condition.  The grass shoulders on either side are
prime locations to take an afternoon nap.  The ditches are relatively dry for
this time of year, but the rain will come.  In Salol, it always does.  One may
travel along the road or east into the corn field.

On a Narrow Dirt Path in the Village of Salol
   The path continues here as it travels in a, more or less, northerly route
around the many fields of Salol.  There are a great deal of farmers and work
horses in the various fields here, for the people of Salol always keep busy.
Quite often the men will stay up well into the night, working by moonlight
when they can, by lantern on overcast nights.  There is a good deal of friendly
and pleasant fellowships between the men, and even more so between the women.
A great deal of profit has came to these people just due to the fact that they
are a true community.  One may travel north or south on this road.

On One of the Many Side Roads of Salol
   This side path travels around the community of Salol.  There are a few
small homes and huts here, but for the most part, those are located further
north.  The majority of the land in this southern portion of the community are
used for the community fields.  The people of Salol always work together in
their fields.  The health of the village has been maintained due to the fact
that they trade with the larger cities nearby and share the profits with each
other.  Several times the village has been threatened by evil enemies, but each
and every time, its allies, such as Woodseer or Tentro, have came to its aid
to protect it.  The produce from this village is as important as the iron ore
from the mountain ranges of the east.  One may travel to the north or to the
south from this point.
