Tunnel Before the East Gates of Arachdrathos
   The passageway here is very cylindrical, of a uniform ten foot diameter.
The walls are very smooth and look almost glazed. A spiral of durithalite
is seemingly etched in the cavern wall, providing a soft radiance to this
cave that is far too dim for the eye of any surface dweller to detect, but
is clear as a beacon to any drow.

Tunnel Approaching the East Gates of Arachdrathos
   The tunnel her eis perfectly sommoth and about ten feet in diameter. A
spiral of softly glowing durithalite decorates the walls of this tunnel,
spiraling in or out depending on one's perspective. The noices of a large
town can be heard echoing along the passageway from the north. To the south,
the tunnel continues.

Northeast Corner of the Rothe Pasture
   The pasture here takes on a rust colored tinge as the essence of
durithalite seeps into the fungus itself. The ceiling and walls of the cave
close together allowing for only a small tunnel to trail off to the north
from here. The noises of a large drow city are readily apparent as they
echo through the tunnel and out across the pasture here.

East End of the Rothe Cattle Fields
   The fungus grows red and long in this portion of the field. Obviously, the
rothe do not have as much an appetite for this type of fungus as the
incidence of rothe exrement is greatly diminished here. The cavern wall to
the east is thickly veined with durithalite adding to the reddish tinge
of the strange fungal turf that carpets the cavern floor.

In the Rothe Pasture
   It really stinks here! There are many odors of the underworld, but few to
be feared as much as the combination of rothe hide, rothe scat, svirfneblin
sweat and decomposing svirfneblin and rothe corpses. The method of harvesting
the rothe from their pasture is very efficient. That which does not become
drow dinner is left on the field to rot to become substrate for new pasture.
The corpses of the butchered svirfneblin slaves who have not met the cruel
performance standards of their wicked drow masters bear witness to their fate
worse than that of the rothe. It is rumored that svirfneblin steaks are
served in the houses of the lower class drow.

North Side of the Rothe Fields
   The rothe fields are covered with lush fungus extending from the cavern
wall to the north all the way south to the Great Llzazan Lake. The cavern
floor, underneath its lush yellow fungus carpet, slopes gently to the
south allowing condensed water to seep towards the lake. The walls are
sparsely veined with durithalite here, making this portion of the cavern
exceptionally dark.

In the Rothe Fields North of the Great Llzazan Lake
   The pasture here is very well groomed, all to a uniform low hieght. The
yellow fungus that coats these fields has been carefully eaten by hundreds
of rothe cattle. The other evidence of this is the mass amounts of rothe
pies laying about in the fields, some of which are so fresh they are
still steaming.

Rothe Pasture on the Lakeshore
   The rothe fields become more and more soggy here until they completely
submerge themselves in the waters of the Great Llzazan Lake. The evidence
of recent use of this field is quite clear. Both the yellow fungus is
cropped quite short and there is an abundance of rothe pies in the field.
A couple svrifneblin carcasses have been left about to help fertilize the
field.

   The cavern walls make a formidable fence around this pasture to the north
and west. They glow softly with a light concentration of durithalite veins
and the normally yellow fungus of this pasture is tinged with red as it
approaches the cavern walls. TO the south and east the pasture continues
towards a large lake.

A Really Crappy Room
   This room is absolutely vile. The rothe seem to have made this a
community dumping ground. Long tendlris of a grass like yellow fungus
weave their way through clods of rothe droppings. Extreme care must be
take when walking to avoid coating ones boots in the festering excerement
that proliferates along the terrain here.

West End of a Yellow Fungus Field
   To the north, that cave wall blocks travel. To the south, the Great
Llzazan Lake stretches out both cold and waveless. To the west, Hell
road passes in front of the Arachdrathos city gates. TO the east, however,
there lies a huge field of short cropped yellow fungus grazed by what looks
like hundreds, if not thousands of rothe cattle.

Hell Road Before the Gates of Arachdrathos
   The road here bends to the north through a tunnel towards the Drow city
of Arachdrathos. The tunnel to the north becomes a gauntlet of protection
for the famed Drow city, making it impervious to attack or seige. To the
south the Great Llzazan Lake extends across a great cavern, shimmering
softly under the ruddy hue of the glow of the durithalite stone webbed
throughout the basalt roof and walls of this cavern.

The Gates of Arachdrathos
   The narrow cavern here is bordered on the north end by a set of huge
adamantine gates. The gates are heavily scratched from attempted invasions
by Duergar, Illithid, and Svirfneblin alike. The walls of the cavern are
streaked with Durithalite, running from the Llzazan farms through the gates
to the city.

Inside the Gates of Arachdrathos
   The Adamantine gates of the Jewel of the Underworld lie at the south end
of this stretch of tunnel. To the north the tunnel opens up into a larger
cavern richly veined with durithalite and swarming with denizens of the
underworld. The sound sof the busy Arachdrathos marketplace fill the air, but
beneath the voices and shuffling, a low roaring can be heard in the distance.

A Fountain Before the Reflecting Pool
   A majestic fountain paying homage to the Mother of the Drow and the great
City of Arachdrathos bubbles endlessly before a shimmering reflecting pool.
The fountain depicts a beautiful drow woman with her arms outstretched, a
giant web stretched bewteen her fingertips. Water trickles down her arms
to fall from the center of the web into a basin surrounding her feet. The
plaza continues towards shops to the east and west. The vaulted ceiling of
this cavern is richly veined with durithalite and sharply reflected by the
reflecting pool as it opens up to the north towards the chasm and web of
Arachdrathos.

The Reflecting Plaza
   A stretch of polished basalt separates the shop to the east bearing the
sigil of house Zochra from the reflecting pool to the west. A closer
inspection of the shop indicates that it must be an armory of sorts, and
its name, 'Blades and Brakers' further enhances the illusion. Customers
leaving the store all carrying weapons or armor makes the illusion complete
and an apparent reality.

   The plaza here is bordered on the north by a large basalt building, and to
the east by a shop bearing the sigil of House Slin. The polished basalt floor
borders the reflecting pool both to the west and south from here as it softly
shimmers under the pulsating durithalite veins of the vaulted cavern ceiling.

   A glimmering refelcting pool lies directly south of here, with a mirror
surface reflecting the numerous durithalite veins of the ceiling of this
cavern as they glow from dark to pink in a slow rhythmic pulsing. To the
west and east the marketplace expands into a marvelous plaza.

Magic Square
   The two houses of Sorcery, Sa'Zarn and Olipth have set up shops along the
side of the cavern here. Both houses have put considerable funds and magics
into their advertising. Shimmering lightshows coat the basalt walls of the
shopfronts of these two stores. The one bearing the sigil of Sa'Zarn is to
the west and called 'The Bone Yard.' To the east, the store is named
'Illustrium Arcana.'

The Cliffside Plaza
   The Marketplace opens up here, as the roof climbs away into the cavern
wall of a great chasm. The new cavern ceiling disappears from sight into a
windy void. The plaza continues to the north towards a cliff edge that marks
the end of the marketplace. To the south, many of the noble houses of the city
have set up shops to market their House Specialties.

On the Cliff's Edge
   The cliffside ends abruptly to the north. Looking out across the chasm
over the cliff's edge a giant spiderweb fills ones entire field of vision.
By climbing down the webwalk extending from the cliff edge, one can access
the web itself and walk out to one of the many great spires of rock
mysteriously captured by the web. To the east, the sigil of House Zarbonesti
is placed near the door of a very large shop.

High Above the Great Web City
   The web city of Arachdrathos stretches out below, fully spanning the girth
of the massive cavern below. A ferocious wind shrieks in from above, swirling
above the towering spires of the noble houses of Arachdrathos. Looking for
the source of the wind above, one can only see a void. The same can be said
for below the web. Just above, a cliff edge meets the webwalk, allowing
access to the Arachdrathos marketplace.

   The webwalk here connects the city of arachdrathos to the marketplace. It
sways slightly under the howling wind from above. The web itself here leads

   Here the Radial skein leading to the Arachdrathos Marketplace intersects

   High above the marketplace of arachdrathos lies at the edge of the web on
a cliffside overlooking the cavern. Below lies the center of the web, too
distant to make out any details about the conetents of the great nexus of the
city. The web here has been reconstructed into a webwalk to facilitate
commerce throughout the city.

   The massive expanse of House Ilith spreads across the horizon of the web
above. Below the arch of House Zarbonesti straddles the web, and rises
high above eye level even at this high rim of the web. The web itself here
has been reinforced and reconstructed by the silk of cavefishers into a grand
webwalk.

   The webwalk here climbs towards house Ilith. It also falls off below

expansively. The web itself sprials down to the east aund up to the west.
Also to the west there is a heavily enhanced portion of the web, converted

   The web here is rather typical of its structure throughout the rest of the
cavern. It is about fifteen feet in diameter, and spun by what must have been
a massive spider. Above and below the web is bordered by blackness, and to
the exterior, the web is attached to the basalt and durithalite cavern walls.

   A meridian skein and lateral skein of the web come together here. The web
continues to spiral down to the east and up to the west. Also the meridian
skein connects the edge of the cavern to House Slin and the Nexus of the web

   The web travels from west to east here, sprialing inwards and downwards
to the east. Howling in from above, an incredible wind sends the web swaying
under its force. Far below, the nexus of the web is ringed by the many houses
of Arachdrathos and the Great Zarbonesti Arch.

Nearing House Sa'Zarn
   The mighty spire of House Sa'Zarn reaches high above the web to the east.
The bone spire, as it is called is home to some of the mightiest Necromancers
of the underworld, and all of the realms. To the west the web spirals
outwards.

Before House Sa'Zarn
   To the north the gateways to the bone tower, spire of necromancy, and
House Sa'Zarn opens it gaping maw to the web of the city of Arachdrathos.
The web itself continues to the east and west in a great spiral, and above
and below along a radial skein.
