A Strangely Peaceful Cell
This room, oddly enough, seems to be generating pure and peaceful
energy. While it is an enigma to you as to what exactly is causing
it, upon closer inspection, you notice the baaetzu wards and glyphs
in this room glow with a much dimmer light than those elsewhere.
You also notice a strange set of glyphs on the north wall, causing you
wonder who what was contained in this cell. The sheer benevolence in
this room fills you with peace, and you let your thoughts drift into the
moment.

A Guardpost Overlooking a Set of Cells
The hallway comes to an abrupt end here, with a set of cells to the
north and south. The cells don't seem to have conventional doors,
however; it seems the prisoners of the baaetzu are simply held fast
through the fear projected by these devils. Faint scraping noises can
be heard from both the north and south exits, filling you with dread.

of the damned fills the hall with pangs of loss, and tugs away at your
mortal soul. To the north is what appears to be a heavily guarded cell,
and a set of standard holding cells await you to the east and west.

devices visible to the left and right. No doubt this is where all those whom
displease Bel reside. Baaetzu runes of warding cover the walls of this
chamber, causing you to believe that whatever is imprisoned here is no
doubt fearsome indeed. The room continues to the north, where you can
hear the tell tale signs of some poor soul being tortured.

first archduke. Mortal men were not meant to venture into the depths of
hell and this room only serves to accentuate that. You hear the tortured
screams of the damned as you progess. A distant cold feeling
permeates your body, as you feel an enduring resolve to venture forth, into
the depths of this citadel the damned.

The Infernal Foyer of the Bronze Citadel
A majestic fountain adorns this room, spewing its geyser of liquid high into
the air of the citadel. The entire room seems to be made of a particularly
strong form of the alloy bronze. The intricate designs into the metalwork
of the entire citadel are mesmerizing, if not frightening displays of the
style associated with the hateful ways of the baaetzu. The fetid stench
of decay rises from the floor of this citadel, and huge portcullises block
entry to the east and western wings of the first floor. A barred staircase
also seems to be painted into the ceiling of this room. It seems so real,
so lifelike, but surely it is only a painting...

of smoke rise from the floor, in dancing tendrils. The very walls seem to
bend and waver under the heat, creating the illusion you are trapped in the
belly of a bronze beast. Strangely attractive energies emanate from the south,
and the hallway continues to the east.

A Destroyed Room
The bronze walls of this room carry deep scratches and pits, from the constant
clawing of them by some powerful being. Several maps of the plain of infinite
portals in the abyss lie throughout the room, though you cannot decipher
the baaetzu symbols contained on them. This is obviously a strategy room,
used in the planning of raids on the home plane of the Tana'ri.

The flames in this region seem to burn with a more sinister light. Sounds
of clawing and scratching permeate your senses from the north, and several
mutiliated human bodies are held to the ceiling with some sort of hellish
magic. Significant evil permeates these halls, and the hoards of baaetzu
guards that roam them. Venture forth with caution.

The North End of the War Room
The heat grows even more hellish here. The sound of scraping and screaming
becomes even more apparent to the east, while you see several shadows scurry
away in the corner of your vision. A black tar-like substance flows forth
from the northern wall, giving off a fetid smell similar to that of methane.
You notice a movement coming from the substance, and see what appears to be
a human face in the muck. The souls of the damned are literally the mortar
of the Bronze Citadel.

The Private Chamber of Baalzephon
   Few mortals enter this room and live to tell the tale.  This is the
private chambers of Baalzephon.  Baalzephon is one of the Dark Eight,
and is a Pit Fiend of near godlike power. Deep scratches and gouges
can be seen in the bronze walls of this room, and a large altar is
in the center, most likely the device the fiend uses to communicate
with lord Asmodeus when organizing raids for the Blood War.
