a gathering place for social events. Many drunks can always be found here.
There is a large counter along the west wall where most of the drunks are
gathered drinking heartily. Drinks and other items are available for sample
in this store. The only exits are down and north out of the this bar.

  This pathway is almost ten feet wide and is heavily littered with trash
and other debris.  Many visitors to the city use this pathway to acess the
inn and bar which lie just ahead. Large puddles of water gather here due to
poor drainage system. Among these puddles of water are scattered lose change
and other unwanted items that people have carelessly dropped. The only
exits are east and up which lead into various parts of town.

   A red bricked pathway marks the start of another street in the Keep. This
street is called Peddler's Way. Serving home to many travelling merchants,
many imported goods may be purchased at reasonable cost in the shopping
district.  Merchants of many races flock here.  The threat of danger is
guarded against by the many patrolling guards of the Shady Grove. There are
two main exits west leading back to the Path of the Damned and east into
the shopping district.

The Entry to the Barracks of the Black Order
   A large barracks is located just ahead.  The structure appears large
and constructed of stone slabs and mortar. Around the large iron gates,
there are inscriptions in an old cryptic language.  There are also reliefs
showing the life and achievements of the Black Order. The structure
ahead is the training ground for many of the initiates and experienced of
the Black Order.  The barracks here also house the jail and other related
items.  The sounds of swords clashing can be hears emanating from the
practice ground ahead. There are two exits leading in and away from the
barracks.

The Shady Shop of Scribers
  The room here glows an erie yellow by the flames of the torches
attached to the walls.  The room here is a semi library of sorts. Along
the north wall, many volumes of scribed material can be found. Seated at
desks, many young orcish scribers copy down the history of their lands
to be spread.  They work diligently under the eye of the head scriber who
is constantly yelling to work at a faster pace. There is one exit out
leading back to the main city path.

   Provided as a special service to those of the southern keep, the southern
branch of the Bank of Shady is staffed with a master banker. The floor and
walls of the bank are constructed from wooden planks. A large red elven rug
lies centered in the room. On the south wall of the bank, there is a large
ledge equipped with a few fountain pens. The teller window is located just
opposite this ledge. A small sign is located at this window. The only exit
lies west back to the Path of the Damned.

west, and east leading into various parts of the city. The exit beyond the

In the Southern Branch of the Bank of Shady
   Provided as a special service to those of the southern keep, the southern
branch of the Bank of Shady is staffed with a master banker. The floor and
walls of the bank are constructed from wooden planks. A large red elven rug
lies centered in the room. On the south wall of the bank, there is a large
ledge equipped with a few fountain pens. The teller window is located just
opposite this ledge. A small sign is located at this window. The only exit
lies west back to the Path of the Damned.
