sturdy gates. Most of this area is very damp and wet as thousands of
insects make their homes around here.

reaching heights of nearly six feet, completely closing it in from
outside view.  The fog is not as dense here, but still thick enough
to limit vision to a range of fifty feet.  The lake continues both
east and south from here.

Fallen Tree over the Winding River
   A fairly sizable tree has fallen over the river here, and is now firmly
embedded into the mud on the other side.  It appears that this tree has
been here for quite some time, probably having fallen long ago when the
marshes overtook this land.  A few of the tree's branches still dangle
down into the murky waters, around which tiny lines form, indicating that
the river is indeed flowing.  The banks are accessible on both sides here,
while the river itself continues its north to south course.

Small Mound in the Dark Marshes
   A five foot high mound of mud and clay rises up out of the marsh here,
covered with hundreds of weeds and stalks of swamp grass.  It is a bit
drier here on the mound than in the swamps, making travel a little easier.
The mound is covered with animal droppings that produce an almost unbearable
stench, made even more pungent with the dense fog that surrounds everything.
The swamps continue in all directions, though no detail of any kind can be
seen.

On the Stump of a Mammoth Tree
   The remains of what must have been an enormous tree are here, looking
as though it was hacked down a very long time ago.  The stump rises up
about three feet from ground level, and is almost ten feet around in size,
forming a crude platform here.  The stump is blackened and slimy now,
covered with feces and animal droppings that putrefy the air with an awful
stench.  The fog covering this plain is too thick to allow any distance
vision, even from this low perch.

   This eight foot deep pool is filled with slimy, murky water from
which an unpleasant oder wafts off.  The pool is about ten feet around
in diameter, and appears to have been caused by the opening of a large
sinkhole that filled itself with water.  The fog that covers the area
is very thick, almost completely obscuring vision.

   This ten foot wide road of wooden beams cuts a path strait across these
dark fields, covered with the remains of thousands of dead beings.  The name
coined this land seems quite appropriate, as bones lay everywhere from
both man and animal, a testament to those unfortunate enough to fall pray to
the hungering evil that surrounds this place.  A very thin fog covers these
fields, giving them an even more foreboding appearance, though it is not thick
enough to obscure vision.  The road continues both north and south from here.

   A thin fog covers the dark fields north of here, shrouding everything in a
hazy mist.  The grounds on those fields are covered with the shattered bones

though a much less foggy area.
