A Frozen Fountain In the Ice Garden
Amidst the frozen orchids and hibiscus, a fountain of beautiful marble
construction lies frozen in action. The fountain is a simple design with a
round basin on the bottom and a long thin tower in the center from which water
flows in all directions forming a circular waterfall. The water arcing from
the center piece to the basin below is frozen in flight forever in the icy
grasp of whatever seized the forest. A collection of droppings on the snow
beneath the fountain seem to indicate something is coming hear for water, or
ice at least. A gazebo lies to the north, and the icy garden is visible to
the east and west.

Wandering Through the Ice Garden
Thick ivy runs up the trunk of numerous small trees growing out the the
snow. Everything looks out of place against the snowy backdrop. The garden
is totally normal in all respects except everything is encased in a thin layer
of ice. The flowers are bent slightly in one direction as if swaying from a
mild breeze when the arctic blast hit. The whole scene makes for a rather
ghastly paradox. A section of bush has been carved into a chair here,
strengthend by the frost. What appears to be a fountain lies to the west, and
the garden continues to the east and north.

A Corner In the Ice Garden
The scene here is almost surrealistic. A section of rain forest appears to
have been flash frozen, and transported thousands of miles north, to this...
the most desolate place in the wastes. For what purpose remains a mystery,
but it is no less magnificent. Frozen raindrops hang for all eternity from
leaves that will never again taste the sun. Snow falls upon branches that
have never known anything but the kiss of warmth and balmy tropical breezes.
Great vines of ivy have begun to take root and are climbing the castle walls.
The garden continues to the north and west, while a door leads inside to the
south.

is no protection from the precipitory elements. All around are benches and
throne like chairs, some wooden, some iron, and a few carved straight out of
the icy snow. The garden is totally normal in all respects except everything
is encased in a thin layer of ice, as though it were a section of tropical
rainforest suddenly flash frozen. The flowers are bent slightly in one
direction as if swaying from a mild breeze when the arctic blast hit. The
whole scene makes for a rather ghastly paradox. A few shattered pieces of
purple orchid litter the pristine path through the garden. The garden
continues to the west and south, and an iron door is sunk into the north wall.

no arrow slits, or windows of any kind. Apparently not much danger exists to
the north of the castle. The corridor is wide, but has a low ceiling which
combined with the torch smoke provides a very uncomfortable area. The torches
are held by more of the iron sconces so common to the castle. The worn path
down the center of the hall seems even more dull here, as if the stone were
older. This area of the hall appears to be under some sort of restoration.
The stone on the inner wall is freshly laid in some areas, and crumbling in
others. It continues east and west, and an iron door leads south.

A Corner in the Guards Walk
This room is strategically very important. There are stairs leading up and
down here to the other floors of the castle. Controlling the corners of the
castle was obviously very important to the castle designer considering the
thickness of the iron doors that lead to the perimeter halls. There are arrow
slits cut into the stone in both exterior walls, which are currently covered
by sliding iron doors. A bench sits against the wall next to a water barrel.

Northeast Corner In the Guard's Walk, 2nd Floor
The north/south and east/west sections of the guards walk meet here in the
corner. A wide arrow slit is placed in both the east and north walls, covered
by sliding iron hatches. Two large torches are hung from the ceiling by thin
iron chains. Large iron doors lead south and west, and a stairwell leads
downward to the ground floor. A newer second set of stairs rises into what
appears to be a corner tower.

Several thousand tiles are stacked in short piles all along the inner wall,
waiting to be layed. To the west the guards walk continues, and an iron door
leads east.
