A Rocky Mountain Path
A quick glance over one's shoulder shows an incredible view of the

jungle valley far below. It is a bit dangerous to try to pause and

look however, the jagged rocks here lead to poor footing making it easy

to fall. The path continues its steep climb into the mountains and

heads down toward the jungle valley.

A Rocky Mountain Path
The air here is a particularily stagnent combination of dust and

humidity. This is a somewhat low area that travels north between some

jagged cliffs or heads down a steep incline. This path is quite

unforgiving, it is hard to believe that Woodseer would spend the time

and money to patrol it. Perhaps they feel that there is some possible

trade to be had higher into the mountains.

A Rocky Mountain Path
Rocky walls extend so high above this point that it is almost more

of a cavern here than an open path. The path heads south and up here,

as it climbs further into the mountains. To the south it is clear that

the walls aren't quite as high and that there might even be some

sunlight that reaches all the way down to the path. Though the path is

wide enough for mules and small trade carts, it is far too steep. The

work to keep this passage clear must far outweigh any trade benefit.

Here, as well as below, the high rock walls rise sharply upward

Heading either west or up at this point, it is hard to tell where

the path is going. All one can say for certain is that the mountains

here are quite barren and devoid of life. Tiny patches of moss grow in

some well-shaded spots but no animals or plants can be seen. The path

continues to the west where it dives down into some sort of gorge and

climbs upward into the mountains.

The only sign of life here is several small bushes that line the

an excellent campsite, and this high in the mountains it would appear

to be relatively safe. Charcoal has been used to write a message on

the walls, a message that reads, "Patrols End Here." This is certainly

meant to inform any travelers that the Woodseer guards will not assist

them beyond this point.

This small clearing has clearly seen frequent use as a rest stop. A
sign stands here near the trail that heads off to the south, and
several small bushes do their best to cling to the barren stone. A
small ring of stones in the center of the clearing shows where several
people have camped in the past, but the dirt in the center is cool,

stone, and many of the edges are quite sharp, an unwary traveler could
easily stumble and injure themselves on the sharp rocks. This trail
must have been created at some time by running water, but whatever

Dust rises up from the dusty path that leads into this small logging
village. Though the village seems peaceful enough, there is an
underlying tension that can be felt even here at the gates. A
tremendous sliding gate is suspended above this point, held in place by
ropes that must be tied down somewhere inside the village. The gate,
as well as the stockade wall that protects the village seems to be a
bit more than is required. Even the more dangerous forest animals
wouldn't dare to invade a village. A sign above the entryway

A Crossing of Paths
These dusty paths pass for roads here. The dirt is so dry that it
puffs with every step raising dust into the air. It is clear the
villagers don't care much about keeping up the roads, and, based on the
state of the log homes that dot the village, they don't generally seem
concerned with the upkeep of anything. Unmarked dirt roads extend to
the north, east, and west along some log cabins and the entrance to the
village is to the south.
Obvious exits: -North -East -South -West

A sturdy village guard paces here, looking bored with his job.

One of the outer walls to a poorly built log cabin can be seen to
the west and a strange garden of some sort is to the east. The road
continues to the north and south passing log buildings of various
designs. Most of the buildings seem to have been designed and built
based upon what lumber was available at that time. Very few of the
buildings are well-designed, or well-built.

Before a Trading Post
The road continues north toward a well, and what appears to be the
village center, and south toward the village gates. An open doorway to
the west leads into a ramshackle building. A sign over the doorway

as beaten up as the building, but it might be interesting to see what
she has to offer.

Before the Village Gates
Dust rises up from the dusty path that leads into this small logging
village. Though the village seems peaceful enough, there is an
underlying tension that can be felt even here at the gates. A
tremendous sliding gate is suspended above this point, held in place by
ropes that must be tied down somewhere inside the village. The gate,
as well as the stockade wall that protects the village seems to be a
bit more than is required. Even the more dangerous forest animals
wouldn't dare to invade a village. A sign above the entryway
proclaims, "Welcome to Pine Hollow", but the glances given visitors by
the guards and other villagers nearby aren't terribly warm.
